She is Miracle Thomas and she spoke to us about herself and her songs.
What is the message you want to tell us with your song “I take my breath away”?
«My last release was a remake of Cameo’s hit song”Why Have I Lost You”. Before this song, I had an EP out called Expect a Miracle with four songs. My favorite song on the EP is “You Take My Breath Away’. It’s a song about falling in love with someone so deep that it’s hard to breath when they are around. Everyone should experience this type of love at least once in their lifetime.»
Which of your songs represents you the most?
«The song that represents me the most is “Love Me”. It’s a sensual song and it’s direct; talking about pleasing each other.»
Do your songs have a common element or do you want to tell us different messages with your songs?
«Most of my songs have a common element of “love” and/or “making-love”. I am not shy about where I stand when it comes to this topic. However, I do write all types of songs. Right now, I am concentrating on my sensual side.»
How important do you think the Radio Indie International network is important?
«Radio Indie International is extremely important because it helps artists/producers get more exposure. I have noticed more disc jockeys reaching out to me because of the exposure from Radio Indie. I am grateful for the support and I always recommend them to other artists who are trying to go to the next level.»
When did you start singing?
«Singing is in my DNA. My mother told me before I started talking I was singing. I first sang publicly at 5 years old with the Gems of Truth Gospel Choir at my maternal grandmother’s Seventh Day Adventist Church. I also sang on the choir at my paternal grandfather’s church; he was a Holiness Bishop.»
With the music of which artist did you grow up?
«I grew up listening to all types of artists. Some of my major influences are: the late and great Aretha Franklin, the late Luther Vandross, Patti LaBelle, Whitney Houston, Babyface, the group LTD and Earth, Wind and Fire. I cannot leave out my late uncle the late and great Carl Anderson; he was incredible!»
Have you ever thought of coming to Italy to perform?
«I would love to come to Italy and sing. That would be the highlight of my life.»
What are your future projects and what are you working on now?
«I am singing at Bolsoul 5 in Croatia this coming October along with Alecia Myers; more artists will be announced in the near future. I am also getting ready to release another EP - Expect A Miracle II in early Spring. I’m really excited about releasing more music in the near future. I am constantly writing and going to the studio to record with some great musicians.»
If you were a dish, what dish would you be?
«If I were a dish I would be lasagna because I have many layers. My skin is soft like pasta and I am juicy like tomatoes. All you have to do is close your eyes and my scent will leave you wanting more of the sensual experience.»

Qual è il messaggio che vuoi comunicarci con la tua canzone You Take My Breath Away?
«La mia ultima uscita è stata un remake della canzone di successo di Cameo "Why Have I Lost You". Prima di questa canzone, ho fatto uscire un EP chiamato Expect a Miracle con quattro canzoni. La mia canzone preferita sull'EP è "You Take My Breath Away". È una canzone sull'innamoramento, così profondo, che è difficile anche respirare quando sei in giro. Tutti dovrebbero sperimentare questo tipo di amore almeno una volta nella vita.»
Quale delle tue canzoni ti rappresenta di più?
«La canzone che mi rappresenta di più è "Love Me". È una canzone sensuale e diretta, parla di piacersi l'un l'altro.»
Le tue canzoni hanno un elemento in comune o vuoi comunicare messaggi diversi con le tue canzoni?
«La maggior parte delle mie canzoni hanno un elemento comune che è l’amore e/o fare l’amore. Non sono timida parlando di questo argomento. Tuttavia, scrivo tutti i tipi di canzoni. In questo momento, mi sto concentrando sul mio lato sensuale.»
Quanto pensi sia importante la rete di Radio Indie International?
«Radio Indie International è estremamente importante perché aiuta artisti / produttori ad ottenere più esposizione. Ho notato più disc jockey che mi raggiungono grazie all'esposizione di Radio Indie. Sono grata per il supporto e li consiglio sempre ad altri artisti che stanno cercando di passare al livello successivo.»
Quando hai iniziato a cantare?
«Il canto è nel mio DNA. Mia madre mi ha detto che prima di iniziare a parlare già cantavo. Ho cantato per la prima volta pubblicamente a 5 anni con i Gems of Truth Gospel Choir presso la Chiesa avventista del settimo giorno di mia nonna materna. Ho anche cantato con il coro nella chiesa di mio nonno paterno; era un Vescovo.»
Con la musica di quale artista sei cresciuta?
«Sono cresciuta ascoltando tutti i tipi di artisti. Alcune delle mie influenze principali sono: la defunta e grande Aretha Franklin, il compianto Luther Vandross, Patti LaBelle, Whitney Houston, Babyface, il gruppo LTD e Earth, Wind and Fire. Non posso lasciare fuori il mio defunto zio, il defunto e grande Carl Anderson; era incredibile!»
Ti piacerebbe venire a cantare in Italia?
«Mi piacerebbe venire in Italia e cantare. Quello sarebbe il momento saliente della mia vita.»
Quali sono i tuoi piani futuri e su cosa stai lavorando ora?
«Canterò a Bolsoul 5 in Croazia il prossimo ottobre insieme ad Alecia Myers; altri artisti saranno annunciati nel prossimo futuro. Mi sto anche preparando a pubblicare un altro EP - Expect A Miracle II all'inizio della primavera. Sono davvero entusiasta di pubblicare più musica nel prossimo futuro. Scrivo costantemente e vado in studio per registrare con alcuni grandi musicisti.»
Se tu fossi un piatto che piatto saresti e perché?
«Se fossi un piatto sarei la lasagna perché ho molti strati. La mia pelle è morbida come la pasta e io sono succosa come i pomodori. Tutto quello che devi fare è chiudere gli occhi e il mio profumo ti lascerà desiderare di più dell'esperienza sensuale.»
